アウラニひとり旅（キャラクターグリーティング１） / Traveling Alone to Aulani, Disney Resort and Spa (Character Greeting 1)

アウラニと言ったら、やっぱりディズニーのキャラクターたちとのグリーティング。私もとっても楽しみにしていました。
Greeting with Disney Character is big fun at Aulani. I looked forward to seeing them so much.

キャラクターたちと会うには3つ方法があります。まずはキャラクターダイニング。マカヒキというブッフェレストランで行われています。朝食と夕食、両方行ってみましたので、詳しくは別の記事でご紹介しますね。There are 3 ways to meet Disney Characters at Aulani. First one is Character Dining at Makahiki, a buffet restaurant. Every morning and selected evening. I tried both, I will write about my experience later.

2つめは夜のグリーティング。火曜日と金曜日の8:00pmから実施されています。（変更もありうるので、当日のスケジュールを確認くださいね。）どのキャラクターが来るかは行ってみてのお楽しみ。DVC（ディズニーバケーションクラブ）のメンバー向けには、これに加えて7:00pmの回も用意されていました。
The second is, Evening Greeting session. It starts at 8:00pm on Tuesday and Friday. (Schedule may change. Please check daily schedule.) Guests cannot know who will come in advance. For DVC (Disney Vacation Club) members, there was additional session at 7:00pm when I was there.

3つめは、リゾート内の様々なところで行われているグリーティング。トゥーンファインダーという番号に客室の電話からかけると、その日のグリーティングのスケジュールを教えてもらうことができます。英語版は8:00amから、日本語版は9:00amからのスタートです。ちなみに英語版の方では「これ以外の時間にもお散歩してるかもしれないから、ハラヴァイ・ローンに注目してね」と言っていたので、スケジュールされている時間以外にも会えるチャンスがあるのかもしれません。
The third way is Meet and Greet in the resort property. Guests can know the schedule by ToonFinder, an information dial. English line starts at 8:00am and Japanese line at 9:00am. In addition, English line said that some Disney Characters might walk through around Halawai Lawn, so guests may have another chance rather than scheduled greeting.

私の滞在中のスケジュールはこんな感じでした。英語版のトゥーンファインダーでだけ、ハロウィーンの衣装かどうかを話していましたので、がんばって英語版も聞いてみたほうがよさそうです。ミッキーとミニーは朝はマカヒキのキャラクターブレックファーストにいるせいか昼過ぎからしか登場はなく、ほかのキャラクターも午後に集中していました。到着日でも大半のグリーティングには間に合うのはうれしいですね。私の場合、午前中はプールで遊び、お昼からグリーティング、というのが毎日の行動パターンになりました。
These are the schedule during my stay. I could know they were in Halloween outfits or not, only by English line. I recommend to use English line if you are not good at English. As Mickey an Minnie were at Makahiki for Character breakfast every morning, their greeting started around noon. Almost all greeting sessions heppend in the afternoon as well. So, I enjoyed pool in the morning, and enjoyed greetings in the afternoon.

ということで、お待ちかね。アウラニでのバケーション中のキャラクターたちの写真を載せていきます。まずはミッキーとミニー。リゾートっぽいお洋服がかわいい！それぞれバラバラにグリーティングしている時と、ペアの時と、両方ありました。
Then, let me show pictures of Disney Characters with Aulani exclusive outfits. First, Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse with resort style outfits, so cute.

デイジー！ノリノリでたくさんポーズをしてくれるんです。

グーフィーは、プールサイドのカヴェレコーナーで会いました。プールの水が冷たいって主張してました。
Goofy on the pool side. He said pool water was cold.

アウラニひとり旅（空港やホテル間の移動とアウラニのお部屋） / Traveling Alone to Aulani, Disney Resort and Spa (Hotel room and grand transportation)

こんばんは、ねこたろうです。おうちに帰ってきました～。時差ぼけもあって少し眠いですが、さっそくブログを書いていきたいと思います。今回は、空港やホテル間の移動とアウラニのお部屋についてのお話です。
Hi I had arrived my home from my trip to Hawaii. I have jet lag a bit but I would like to start reporting. Today's story is about hotel room and grand transportation.

準備編でも書いた通り、空港への行き来は、ロバーツハワイのエアポートエクスプレスシャトルを利用しました。ホノルル空港へ到着後、黄色いアロハシャツの係員さんのところにむかって、シャトルのチェックインをします。すでに代金を支払っていることと、行き先がコオリナであることを伝えると、15分くらい待ってねとのこと。でも、実際のところトイレから帰ってきてすぐにシャトルに案内されたので、5分くらいの待ち時間で済みました。今回乗っていたのは私を入れて3人だけ。空港からアウラニまでは、25分くらいで何事もなく到着しました。ワイキキのホテルから空港へ向かうときには、ホテルの前で待ち合わせし、その後何か所かワイキキ内のホテルを回った後に空港に向かう行程でした。こちらも特に問題はなく、スムーズでした。ひとり旅ならエクスプレスシャトルがお安く済みますね。
As I wrote in previous blog, I reserved Roberts Hawaii 's Airport express shuttle. Soon after I arrived Honolulu airport, I asked a staff with yellow Aloha shirt to check in. As I told that I already made reservation and my destination was Ko olina resort, the staff told me to wait for 15 minutes. But it was only 5 minutes finally. The ride from Honolulu airport to Aulani was only 25 minutes. It was smooth. As for returning trip to the airport, I met driver in front of the hotel. The car went around some hotels to pick up other guests and came to airport in safety. I think Airport express shuttle is good for solo traveler.

アウラニからワイキキへは、タクシーで移動しました。特に予約はせずに、チェックアウト後、ホテルのタクシー乗り場に来ていたものに乗車しました。アウラニのお兄さんに「マタ、来週ネ」と見送られ、、、来週も来れたらいいのに！と強く思いました。どうやらチャーリーズタクシーと提携しているみたいで、何台か待っていたタクシーもすべてチャーリーズタクシーのものでした。こちらも全く問題なく、45分くらいで到着、料金はチップを含めて111.83 USDでした。クレジットカードでお会計したので、自分で計算をしなくても、チップを何%にしたいか選択するだけでした。これはらくちん。
From Aulani to Waikiki, I used a taxi. No reservation, I just went to the entrance. A cast members of Aulani said to me "See you next week" :) I really wanted to do so but I left... I think Aulani have partnership with Charley's Taxi, because other cars were also from Charley's. It was nice and smooth ride, 111.83 USD including tips.

さて、アウラニのお部屋の話。正式なチェックインは3:00pmですが、ラッキーなことに到着してすぐにお部屋に入ることができました。カテゴリはプールサイドガーデンビューということで、ベランダに出ると、レストランのマカヒキと、プールが見えるお部屋でした。窓を開けておくと、朝はマカヒキの音楽が聞こえてきたり、子供がはしゃぐ声が聞こえてきたり、なんとも幸せなお部屋でした。5階なので海はほんのりと見えるだけです。もう少し上のフロアだと、もう少しお高いカテゴリ、例えばオーシャンビューになったりするのかもしれません。
Then let's start about my room at Aulani. Official check in time is 3:00pm but I could start to use the room when I arrive luckily. As its category was Pool side garden view, I could see Makahiki restaurant and pool from veranda. While window was open, I could hear some song from Makahiki in the morning, and children's voice in the pool. It was happy time. It was on 5th floor, sea can be seen a bit. I think if it is more higher floor, it might be more expensive category, such as Ocean view.

客室のアメニティーは、冷蔵庫、コーヒーメーカー、アイロン、セキュリティーボックス、スリッパや歯ブラシもあり。バスローブはふわふわ、バスタブもついていたので、お風呂好きにはうれしいところです。でも、湯沸かしポットや無料のお水はありませんでした。Wi-fiは客室も含めてホテル内ほとんどで通じますが、夜はちょっと速度が出てない感じだったので、レンタルしたWi-fiを利用していました。そうそう、ミッキーネットからの贈り物のチョコレートストロベリーはこんな立派なものでした。ごちそうさまでした！
In room amenity was good enough. Refrigerator, coffee maker, iron, security box, slipper and tooth brush. Fluffy bathrobe and bathtub were good combination for those who love taking baths. No electric kettle, no drinking water in the room. Wi-fi connection was available across the resort, but it was weak at night. As for the complimentary gift from Mickey Net, a travel agency I used, I got beautiful dish of strawberry chocolate. Thank you so much:)

アウラニひとり旅（ワイキキのストライキ） / Traveling Alone to Aulani, Disney Resort and Spa (Strike at Waikiki)

こんにちは、ねこたろうです。いまちょうどホノルルの空港で帰国便の出発を待っているところです。アウラニ、とっても楽しかった！さっそくアウラニについて書いていきたいところなんですが、ワイキキのホテルでのストライキがひどかったので、そのお話から書いていきます。
Hi, I am now at Honolulu airport and waiting for my flight to my home:) Aulani stay was really really good, and I want to tell my Aulani story! However I would like to write about Strike at some hotels at Waikiki for those who need information.

ストライキをしているのは以下の5つのホテルの従業員の方たち。10月8日から始まって、10月21日になってもまだ続いています。
Employees of following 5 hotels are on strike. It started on Oct-8th, and still hold on Oct-21st.
・モアナサーフライダー・ウェスティン・リゾート&スパ / Moana Surfrider, A Westin Resort & Spa
・マイラニ・タワー・アット・ザ・ロイヤル・ハワイアン・ア・ラグジュアリー・コレクション・リゾート・ワイキキ / Mailani Tower The Royal Hawaiian Waikiki, The Luxury Collection
・ロイヤル・ハワイアン・ラグジュアリー・コレクション・リゾート・ワイキキ / Royal Hawaiian Waikiki, The Luxury Collection
・シェラトン・ワイキキ / Sheraton Waikiki
・シェラトン・プリンセス・カイウラニ / Sheraton Princess Kaiulani

私はこれらのホテルには泊まっていなかったのですが、もう騒音がひどかった！朝から晩まで、何かを叫びながら、太鼓や何か金属のもの（お鍋？）をたたいて、ホテルの入り口の前をぐるぐると歩いていました。
I didn't stay at these hotels but the noise of strike was terrible. From the morning to the night, they were screaming, hitting drums and metallic objects (I think kind of pots), and walking around the entrance of hotel.

大好きなモアナサーフライダーのビーチバーもクローズ中。フロントには新しいタオルが入っているカートと、使い終わったタオル用のカートが置いてあり、、、これ、自分で取り換えろってことですよね。
Lovely "The beach bar" at Moana Surfrider was closed. On the front level there were carts with new towels and used towels, it means guests need to change towels by themselves.

ロイヤル・ハワイアンのマイタイバーもクローズ中。入り口にも誰もいない・・・なんてさみしいんだ。
"Mai Tai bar" at Royal Hawaiian was also closed. No staffs at the entrance. So sad.

これらのホテルではお部屋の掃除なども止まっているそうです。ワイキキでの楽しみを奪われちゃった感じで、とっても残念でした。
These hotels also stop housekeeping service. I was really dissapointed because I lost one of my plesure at Waikiki:(

スプーキー“Boo!”パレードの抽選エリア@TDL / Viewing Area with lottery, Spooky "Boo!" Parade

こんばんは、ねこたろうです。今日はお友達のYちゃんと東京ディズニーランドへ。なんと、スプーキー“Boo!”パレードの鑑賞エリアの抽選が当たりました！やったー。最近ついてる！
Hi, I visited Tokyo Disneyland with Y-chan, a friend of mine, today. And we won the lottery of Viewing Area for Spooky "Boo!" Parade!! I am lucky these days:)

スプーキー“Boo!”パレードの鑑賞エリアは、AとBに分かれています。シンデレラ城に向かって左側がA、右側がBですが、ミッキーの立ち位置的に、Aエリアの方が見やすい席になっています。今日はA-25という整理番号で、前から4列目でした。長い時間場所取りをしなくてもこんなにいい場所で見られるなんて、本当にラッキーでした！
There are 2 spaces of viewing area of Spooky "Boo!" Parade. Left side toward Cinderella Castle is A area, and right side is B area. As Mickey Mouse stands left side of the float, A area is better than B area. Our reference number was A-25 (it means A area and 25th group to enter), then we finally got 4th row. We were so lucky because we didn't need to wait long time.

今日もミッキーの早着替え、ばっちり見れました。
Thus I could watch Mickey's quick changing as well.

4列目となると、ダンサーさんは見にくいですが、キャラクターたちはよく見えますね。楽しかった！
It was difficult to watch dancers closely but good for Disney Characters. It was very much fun:)

そうそう、鑑賞エリアには整理番号順で入場するわけですが、キャストの方の声が聞こえづらいので、入場開始時間になったら、できるだけ鑑賞エリアの入口近くで待っていたほうがよさそうでした。ご参考までです。
By the way, when we entered the viewing area, some cast members called reference number. But their voice was hard to hear for us. I think it's better to wait near the entrance of the viewing area. For your information

[今日のおやつ / Today's Snack]
10月中だけ限定販売されている、ランチパック「チョコレートクランチ＆クリーム」を食べました。3パック、6個入りで1000円。うーん、ランチパックのくせに高いじゃないか。ふわふわパンの中に、クランチの入った板チョコと、とろっとしたチョコクリームが入っていて、しっかり甘かったです。ちなみに、賞味期限は今日入れて3日間なのでおみやげには向いていないかも。大変人気で、午前中早くには売り切れちゃうんだそうです。今日は開園直後に買いましたが、同じことを考えている方でお店は混雑していました。
I had "Lunch Pack, chocolate crunch and cream flavor" today. "Lunch Pack" is famous sandwich brand in Japan, and it is special and limited collaboration with Disney. 1000 yen for 3 packs (6 sandwiches). It was so sweet with chocolate sauce and solid chocolate with crunch.

ニューイヤーズ・イヴ・パスポート@TDL / New Year's Eve Passport

こんばんは、ねこたろうです。東京ディズニーランドでのカウントダウンが体験できる、ニューイヤーズ・イヴ・パスポート。当選しました！！！やったー。
Hi, I won "New Year's Eve Passport" of Tokyo Disneyland!!

東京ディズニーランド、東京ディズニーシーでは毎年、大晦日には終夜営業をしています。でも、年越しをパークの中で過ごすためには、特別営業専用の「ニューイヤーズ・イヴ・パスポート」を購入する必要があるんです。ディズニーホテルやオフィシャルホテルの宿泊者はチェックインの時に購入できるそうなんですが、宿泊しない人はオンラインサイトからの抽選販売。これがなかなかの倍率のようで、私は今まで一度も当たったことがありませんでした。今年はついてる！
Tokyo Disneyland and Tokyo DisneySea hold special year-end and new year events, every year. But this special events need the special ticket, New Year's Eve Passport. Disney Hotel guests and Official Hotel guests can buy on check-in, but normal guests need to win the lottery! As it is highly competitive, I never won it before. I am really lucky this year.

今日からが当選発表期間だったので、朝からうずうず。でもメールを見る時間がなく、、、オンラインでの申し込み履歴を開いてみたら、こちらでも届いたメールが確認できるようになっていました。当選、当選ですって～～。
It was the winner announcement date today. I was impatient from the morning, but I couldn't have enough time to check my e-mail account. When I opened my application history on web site, I found the announcement that I won the tickets!!

メールに書かれているURLとパスワードを使って、購入サイトにアクセスし、さっそく購入手続きまで済ませました。枚数を増やすことはできませんが、この時点で減らすことはできるようになっています。第1弾、第2弾の当選者は、ディズニーリゾートラインの特別デザインフリーきっぷも同時に申し込むことができまして、こんな図柄がかわいいんじゃ、まあ、買っちゃいますよねー。クレジットカードの情報を入れ、お届け先の情報を確認したら、こんな警告文が。営利目的での不正転売が確認された場合は、チケットが無効になってしまうそうですので、お気をつけください。
I immediately paid the fee today from URL in the e-mail. Also I could buy one day or two days unlimited tickets of Disney Resort Line. Once I entered credit card information, I found warnings for resale. It is prohibited, please do not buy from resellers.

とにかくうれしくって、興奮状態です。一緒に行くMちゃんと、いろいろ計画しなくっちゃ！準備の状況はまた、順次お伝えしていこうと思います。
Anyway, I am so excited for the count down event! I will start to plan our schedule soon with M-chan, my friend.

裏ファンタズミック！@TDS / Fantasmic! from back side

こんばんは、ねこたろうです。今日は夕方から東京ディズニーシーに行ってきました。いつものビッグバンドビートを見た後、ファンタズミック！の場所を取ろうとしたわけですが、今日は祝日ということもあり、めぼしい場所はほとんど埋まっている状態でした。
Hi, I visited Tokyo DisneySea from the evening today. After I watched "Big Band Beat" then tried to have seat for "Fantasmic!". But good positions were already filled as it was a national holiday today.

そこで、今日は裏からファンタズミック！を見てみることに。地図の左上、赤い星のあたりです。ショー開始20分前でも、一番海に近い位置を取ることができました。
Then I decided to watch it from back side, around the red star mark on the map. I could get the first row in front of sea even though it was 20 minutes before "Fantasmic!" started.

遠目だけどちゃんと見えるシーンもあれば、バージ（船）が邪魔になってしまうシーンもありました。
Some scene, I could watch perfectly even far from the center of the sea. However, sometimes barges (ships) distubed my sight.

マレフィセントドラゴンはバージ越しに横から見る形になってしまうので、ちょっとストーリーはつかみ辛いかな。
I only could see Maleficent Dragon from its side. It was difficult to understand full story:(

でも、ファンタズミック！の音楽が好きな私には、十分満足できる観賞場所でした。のんびりと眺めたい方には良いかもしれません。
But I was satisfied as I could listen its music well. I really love the music of "Fantasmic!" show. I also recommend there for those who want watch it leisurely.

ちなみに、打ち上げ花火のブランニュードリームは、こんな感じで見れます。とってもいい雰囲気なので、この場所で鑑賞するときは、ファンタズミック！が終わった後の音楽までしっかり聴いていただいて（私はこの曲が一番好きです！）、打ち上げ花火まで見てお帰りになるのがおすすめです。
For your information, I could also watch "Brand New Dream", the fireworks there. The atmosphere was really good. I highly recommend to listen the postlude (ending music) of "Fantasmic!", then watch the fireworks. Perfect night time enjoyment of Tokyo DisneySea:)

[今日のディナー / Today's Dinner]
ニューヨーク・デリでハロウィーンのスペシャルセット（1150円）にしました。りんごの形のサンドイッチ、生ハムとりんごで酸味のあるフィリングで、ビールのお供には物足りないかなぁ。プラス400円で、ドリンクをビアカクテルに変更しています。
I had Halloween Special set, 1150 yen, at New York Deli. Apple shaped sandwich contained raw ham and apple. It was a bit sour. Drink could be changed to the beer cocktail at plus 400 yen.

アウラニひとり旅（準備編その3） / Traveling Alone to Aulani, Disney Resort and Spa (Prep, part3)

今日のお話は、10月のアウラニひとり旅、準備編第3回。ミッキーネットのサービスがうれしかった、というお話です。
Today's topic is about my preparation for Aulani trip. The service of Mickey Net, the travel agency I used, was very good.

出発まで1ヶ月を切ったとある日。ミッキーネットから郵便が届きました。中身は、、、「ピクシーハンドブック」というアウラニのガイドブック！リゾート内の施設や、ハワイの基礎情報などが載っています。ウェブサイトなど見れば分かるものかもしれませんが、1冊にまとまっているのはやっぱり便利。特に初めての渡航だったら、こういった冊子を事前に読むことで安心できますよね。
One day, it was less than a month until my trip to Aulani, I received a mail from Mickey Net. There was...Aulani Guide Book inside:) It was about resort information, basic knowledge of Hawaii and so on. Yes, these information can be accessed through some web site, but it is very easy to read to have one single book. Especially if it will be the first trip to Aulani, this guide book should enhance the sense of security. This is great service I think.

他のディズニーリゾートのパンフレットも同封されてました。これを読んだらもう、ディズニークルーズラインに行きたくてしょうがなくなりました。（でも予約しなかったですが・・・）
There were other brochures inside. I am dying to try Disney Cruise Line once I read them!

さて、ミッキーネットからのお知らせはこれ以外にもありました。「コムセンター」というコミュニケーションサイトから届いたメッセージによると、さらにこんなサービスも付いているようです。
Other than the booklet, I received more messages from Mickey Net. According to them I will have these services as well.

・ポーターへチップは滞在費に含まれている / Tips for porters are included into my hotel fee.
・私の予約したプランは、1泊50ドルのリゾートクレジットがついている。（リゾートクレジットとは、滞在中の食事、スパ、買い物に使えるもの。ルームキーを提示して支払うと、チェックアウト時の精算のときにリゾートクレジット分が差し引かれるそうです。） / My plan includes 50 USD "Resort Credit" per a day. "Resort Credit" can be used as payment for meal, spa treatment, and shopping during my stay at Aulani.
・お部屋にチョコレートストロベリーを用意してくれる / There will be complimentary strawberry chocolate inside my room.
・3泊以上の滞在の場合は、アウラニファンブックをもらえる / I will get "Aulani Fun Book" as I will stay 3 nights.

アウラニのサービスなのか、ミッキーネットのサービスなのか、私の予約したプランについているのかは定かではありませんが、こんなお知らせを読むだけで、またわくわく感がアップしました！
I don't know these are from Aulani or Mickey Net, or special offer of my reservation, but anyway I really am excited to go there:)
