こんばんは、ねこたろうです。台風でやることもないので、今日はおうちでのんびりしています。夏休みのWDWひとり旅、今日は3日目のランチ、アニマルキングダムにあるティフィンズの話です。
This is about my Walt Disney World trip, lunch at Tiffins, Disney's Animal Kingdom on the 3rd day.
ティフィンズは、シグネチャーという、ウォルトディズニーワールドのレストランの中でも高級なカテゴリーのレストラン。滞在中に一度くらいはかっちりしたものを食べようかなと思って予約してみました。日程上、ダイニングプランのテーブルサービスポイント2点を1日で使う日が欲しかったというのもありますね・・・。当初は、リバーズ・オブ・ライト・ダイニングパッケージという、夜のショーの鑑賞チケットがついたプランにしていたのですが、夜まで起きてられるのか心配になったので、こちらの、フェスティバル・オブ・ライオンキング・シグネチャー・ダイニングパッケージに予約を変更しています。
Tiffins is a Signature category restaurant of Walt Disney World. I booked it as I wanted to have fine meal once during the stay. Another reason was I have to use 2 table service point of Disney Dining Plan in a day. First I booked Rivers of Light Dining Package, with night time entertainment viewing, however I cancelled it as I had no confidence to wake up until late at night. Instead I booked Festival of the Lion King Signature Dining Package.
フェスティバル・オブ・ライオンキング・シグネチャー・ダイニングパッケージには、Tier1とTier2があります。Tier1は、ティフィンズ出の食事、フェスティバル・オブ・ライオンキングというショーの鑑賞と、キリマンジャロサファリでのツアーの3つがついてくる豪華コース。大人99ドル（税とチップ含まず）です。でもこちらは、ダイニングプランは利用できないということもあり、私はTier2にしました。Tier2は食事とショーの2つで74ドルで、テーブルサービスポイント2点分でした。
There are 2 types, Tier1 and Tier2, of Festival of the Lion King Signature Dining Package. Tier1 contains lunch or dinner at Tiffins, Festival of the Lion King show viewing, and tour at Kilimanjaro Safaris. Very special! 99 USD (tax and tip excluded), Disney Dining Plan is not eligible. Thus I booked Tier2, lunch or dinner at Tiffins and show viewing. Tier2 is 74 USD for adult. 2 Table Service point of Disney Dining Plan.
こちらがティフィンズの店内のお写真。暗めの照明でしっとりとした雰囲気です。周りには、動物のモチーフの飾りがたくさん。アニマルキングダムらしいですよね。
These are pictures of inside of Tiffins. It was a bit dark and good atmosphere. So many animal motif decorations were on the wall, suitable for Disney's Animal Kingdom.
まずはスパークリングワインで一息。このプランについてくるということでした。決まったセットメニューになっているわけではなく、前菜、メイン、デザートをアラカルトメニューから選ぶことができます。私が選んだ前菜はタイカレー風のムール貝。別についてきた辛みのあるソースがまたいい感じでした。
First sparkling wine was served, included in the dining plan. Guests could choose appetizer, main and dessert from a la carte menu. I ordered Thai curry Mussels as an appetizer.
メインは気合を入れて、サーフ＆ターフという、ロブスターとステーキのプレート！これがすごいボリュームでして、全部食べるのに苦労しました。デザートは軽いもの軽いもの・・・と選んだつもりが、結構大きかった・・・。パッションフルーツタピオカクリームということで、味はさっぱりしていたものの、全部は食べきれませんでした。最後に、これもこのプランの特典という、ポストカードをもらって食事のパートはおしまいです。
The main was Serf and Turf, a combo plate of lobster and beef stake. It was too big for me to eat all, but I did. Dessert I had was Passion Fruits Tapioka Cream. It was too big for me as well. Then I got postcards, special present for the dining plan, and finished lunch.
その後はショーの鑑賞です。指定の時間にシアターに向かいます。普通の入り口ではなく、出口近くの受付でチェックインしたあと、客席に案内してもらいました。Tier1の人が最前列、Tier2の人が3列目以降、という感じかな。でも迫力満点で楽しいショーでした。生歌なのが気に入って、次の回もスタンバイで見るくらい気に入りました。
After a while, I went to the theater to watch the show "Festival of Lion King". For the dining plan guests, a small counter in the front of theater exit. I had good seat around 3rd low. It was very powerful play with live singing, I loved it!
フェスティバル・オブ・ライオンキングは、一日の公演回数が多いこともあり、スタンバイでも十分見られるものです。ショーだけのためであれば、わざわざこのプランを予約しなくても良いかなという感じですね。ティフィンズでしっかりコースを食べたいということであれば、プランの値段のほうが料理の総額より高いので、アリだと思います。
Festival of Lion King show happens many times during the day, so it is easy to watch it without the dining plan. However, the price of this dining plan is cheaper than the total price of a la carte menu. So if you want to have full meal at Tiffins, then this plan is highly recommended.
