10月のアウラニひとり旅のお話の続きです。アウラニに3泊した後は、ワイキキにあるバイブホテルに3泊してきました。
This blog is about my trip to Aulani. After staying at Aulani, I stayed at Vive Hotel Waikiki for 3 nights.
そもそもは値段を抑えようと選んだこのホテルですが、結果的にはわりと満足できるホテルでした。クヒオ通り沿いにあってビーチ感は全くありませんが、日中ほとんどを観光に使って、ホテルにいないようなプランなのであれば、十分だと思います。まあ、アウラニに比べたら窮屈なんですけどね。
I booked this hotel because I wanted to reduce the cost of stay. However it was good enough for those who went out whole day to do sightseeing. It is on the Kuhio street, no beach access.
ホテルの中に入ると、広めのロビーが。ここでは、24時間コーヒーやお茶がサービスされています。フルーツの入ったお水もありました。暑い外から帰ってきたときには、このお水がありがたかったです。スナック類の自動販売機もありました。
The lobby area was wide enough. Coffee, tea, and fruit water were available for 24 hours. It was good for me after walking in hot weather. There was a vending machine of snacks.
このエリアでは、朝は朝食が用意されています。フルーツにゆで卵、パン、といったコンチネンタルブレックファースト。パンは何種類か用意されてますし、ホテルの朝食と思うとちょっとさみしいけど、いつもの朝食と比べたら豪華なほうかも。物足りないと思われる方は、同じクヒオ通り沿いにあるスーパーマーケット、フードパントリーでハムやチーズを買っておくと、より満足できそうです。
This area was also used breakfast. Continental breakfast, such as fruits, boiled egg and bread, was served. Its variation was a bit small if I said breakfast at resort hotels, but it was better than my usual breakfast. If you need some more dishes, ham and cheese can be bought at Food Pantry, a supermarket, along Kuhio street.
今回泊まったのはダブルベッドのお部屋でした。窓からはワイキキの建物が見えます。海が見えないので、ビーチリゾート感はあんまり感じられないですね。これはしょうがない。ボトルのお水が置いてありますが、有料と書いてありました。電気ポットはなし。でもお湯は1階のロビーで手に入るので困ることはなかったです。バスルームはいたってシンプルでした。Wi-fiは無料で、スピードも良好でした。
The room I stayed was with double bed with Waikiki building view. I couldn't see beach or sea, it can't be helped. Bottled water was on the table, not free. No electric pot, but I didn't have any trouble because I could have hot water on the lobby floor. Bathroom was simple. Wi-fi was available.
ビーチに行く場合は、いす、かさ、タオル、マット、ブギーボードを借りることができるそうです。チェックインの時に冷たいおしぼりとパイナップルジュースがもらえましたし、サービス面で困ることはなかったです。
When you go to beach, you can use beach Gear (chairs, umbrellas, towels, mats, boogie boards) complementary. Cool wet towel and pineapple juice was served when check-in. The service was really good.
まあ、正直なところ、ワイキキ滞在中は「アウラニに戻りたい」と思ってしまったんですが・・・ 。こればっかりはしょうがないですね。観光やショッピングが目的のホノルル滞在であれば、おすすめできるホテルかと思います。次の記事では、買ってきたおみやげをご紹介したいと思います。では。
To be honest, I thought that I wanted to go back to Aulani... there is nothing that can be done because Aulani was totally great. However Vive hotel was good enough to stay reasonably for shopping and sightseeing. I will write about souvenir in the next blog, see you soon.
