アウラニひとり旅、ここからは時系列に沿って書いていくことにします。今日は1日目のお話です。
I would like to write along the time series about my experience of Aulani, Disney Resort and Spa. This blog is about Day 1.
ホノルル空港からアウラニに移動し、チェックイン。ラッキーなことにすぐにお部屋に案内してもらえました。チェックインの時に忘れずにもらいたいのが、デイリーイヴァとウイークリーイヴァ。どちらも館内でのアクティビティについて書かれているパンフレットです。ここはリゾートホテル。ゲストのための無料アクティビティがたくさんあるんですね。デイリーの方は、毎日更新、英語版のみ。ウイークリーの方はごとの更新で日本語版もあります。
Soon after I arrived at Aulani, I could check-in to my room luckily. Please do not forget to get "Daily 'IWA" and "Weekly 'IWA", guide leaflets of the activities at Aulani as there are so many free activities for guests. "Daily 'IWA" is in English only but "Weekly" can be read in English and Japanese.
実は、毎日のアクティビティはウェブサイトからも見られるようになっていまして、私は事前に、この日は2つのアクティビティに参加しようと決めていました。1つ目はアロハ・ファン・ウィズ・ディズニーフレンズ、2つ目はオハナ・ホオカニピラです。
In fact, the daily schedule can be checked via the official web site. I had checked it before hand and planed to join two activities, Aloha Fun with Disney friends, and 'Ohana Hookani Pila.

アロハ・ファン・ウィズ・ディズニーフレンズは、キプカローンで行われていました。みんなでサーフィンごっこをしていると、うしろから現れたのはグーフィー！椅子取りゲームのような、サーフィンボード取りゲームをやったり、最後はみんなで記念撮影をしたり。小さなお子様向けのプログラムでした。参加されるのであれば、事前にフォトパスのQRコードが入ったリストバンドをもらっておくとよさそうです。なぜならカメラマンさんがバシバシ写真を撮ってくれるから。集合写真など、自分のリストバンドに紐づけされていない写真も、ショップに行けば、フォトパスCDに含めてもらえるそうです。これはうれしいサービスですね。
Aloha Fun with Disney friends was held at Kipuka Lawn. While participants were trying surfing play, Goofy joined! Musical surfing boards game like musical chairs, and group photo, it was great fun for children. If you will join, I think it is better to have PhotoPass wristband because there will be a photographer to take participants photo. Some photo, e.g. group pictures can be linked to the wristband at Kalepa's Store near the front desk.
そういえば、同じアクティビティを前回滞在時も見た記憶があるのですが、この時に遊びに来ていたのはチップとデールでした。キャストの方も誰が来るとは明確に言っていなかったので、もしかしたらその日によって違うのかもしれません。
I think I watched the same activity when I was there before, not Goofy but Chip and Dale came to the play. Disney Characters might change depending on the day.
もう一つ参加したのが、オハナ・ホオカニピラ。タイトルだけだとなんのこっちゃですが、要するにウクレレレッスンです。こちらは建物1階のパウ・ハナ・ルームで行われています。演奏に夢中になって、写真がほとんど残ってない・・・。ひとりに1台ウクレレを持ち、4つのコード（C, G, Am,F）を習い、最後はその4つのコードに合わせてキャストの方と一緒に歌う、というプログラム。残念ながら私はどの歌も知らなかったんですが、何人かの方は口ずさんでいたのでアメリカでは有名な曲なんだと思います。ハワイの打楽器についても教えてもらえます。こちらは大人でも十分に楽しめますし、うっかりするとウクレレが欲しくなっちゃいそうです。"デイリーイヴァ"には、「パウハナルームで申し込みしてね」と書いてあったので、何時間か前に申し込みに行きましたが、席とウクレレは十分にあり、飛び込みでも入れそうな感じでした。
Another one was Ohana Hookani Pila, at Pau Hana Room on the ground floor. I couldn't understand the meaning of the title "Ohana Hookani Pila".... This is, in short, Ukulele lesson. I concentrated playing Ukulele so much, only one photo can be upload. Everyone could use one ukulele each, and tried 4 codes (C, G, Am, F). Then sing and play Ukulele using 4 codes. I didn't know songs a cast sung, but some could sing. Thus I think they were famous song in USA. The cast also told some story about Hawaiian drums. This activity is good for adults, and some might want to buy Ukulele:P As "Daily 'IWA" said to sign up at Pau Hana Room, I signed up beforehand. But there were plenty of seats and Ukuleles available. I think guests can join just before it starts.
これ以外にも、ビーチでブートキャンプとか、スポーツ系のアクティビティもあります。遠くから眺めて見たところ、スクワットしたり砂の上をダッシュしたり、結構きつそうなメニューでした。食べすぎちゃった次の日には良いかも？こんな感じで、グリーティングもありアクティビティもありで、アウラニ滞在はひとりでも全く暇になることなく、むしろ1日があっという間に感じられました。
Other than these 2 activities, sport activities, such as Beach Body Boot Camp, were also available. When I watched it, the menu was squat and dash on sand. Really hard for me, but it is good on the next day of big dinner. I totally enjoyed free activities:)
