I would like to write about Buffalo Bill's Wild West Show, a dinner show at Disney Village in Paris.
ショーは6:30pmと9:30pmの1日2回。ガイドマップに載っている広告によると、公演があるのは特定日をのぞく金曜から火曜までと書いてあります。座席はカテゴリー1と2に分かれています。今、フランス語の予約サイトを見たところ、カテゴリー1が80ユーロ（10466円）、カテゴリー2が65ユーロ（8504円）、UK Englishの予約サイトだとカテゴリー1が62ポンド（9162円）、カテゴリー2が50ポンド（7388円）となっていました。カッコ内は本日時点の為替レートで計算しています。ポンド建てのほうが今日のレートだと安いみたいですね。これは、その日の為替レートにもよるかと思いますのでご参考までです。私の場合は、UK Englishのサイト経由で宿泊予約と同時に予約、カテゴリー1が54ポンドでした。うーん、なにか値引きされてたみたいです。予約はWebからでも、電話でも、レストランの窓口でも、ホテルのコンシェルジュ経由でもすることができます。
According to the advertisement on the guide map, there were 2 stages per day, 6:30pm and 9:30pm, Friday to Tuesday except on certain days. Seats were divided into 2 categories. I find the price now on the reservation site in French language, Category 1 is 80 EUR, Category 2 is 65 EUR. On UK English language site, Category 1 is 62 GBP, and Category 2 is 50 GBP. I recommend to check the exchange rate to know which is cheaper in your currency. In my case, I booked the show at the same time when I booked hotel reservation. It was 54 GBP for Category 1. I seemed to be discounted. Reservation can be made through the official web site, phone, guest service of the hotel and front office of the restaurant.
広告によると、アレルギーやぜんそくの方には適さない、とあります。それもそのはず、このショーは牛やら馬やら、本物の動物たちが走り回るショーなんですね。もちろんディズニーのキャラクターたちも出てきますが、メインはカウボーイたちです。
The advertisement also warned that this show was unsuitable for guests who have allergies or asthma. Because, real animals such as cattle and horses appear in the show. Of course, Disney Characters also come to the show, but the main is cowboys.
ではここからは私が見に行ったときの話です。予約していたのは金曜日の6:30pmの回。これはメインショーが始まる時間で、劇場には1時間前から入場できると聞き、その時間に合わせて向かうことにしました。ちなみにこの日のディズニー・スターズ・オン・パレードは5:00pmスタート。パークの入り口に一番近い場所で、最初のミッキーたちのフロートを見たあと、すぐにレストランに向かったところ、5:30pmの入場開始に間に合いました。
Then let me start my story. My booking was 6:30pm show on Friday. 6:30pm was the start time of the main show. Guest could go inside the theater from 1 hour before, thus I came there at 5:30pm. By the way, Disney Starts on Parade started at 5:00pm on the day. I watched the first float of the parade near the park gate, then moved to the restaurant.
まずはレストランの入り口で受付。この時点でかなり動物園のような匂いが。。。チケットを見せると、グループ分けをされます。私は緑チーム。同じ色のリボンがついた麦わら帽子をもらったら、バーエリアでメインショー会場への案内を待ちます。バーでお酒を飲む人たちもいれば、メインショーの間に飲むワインを選んでいる人もいました。お酒には惹かれましたがここではガマンガマン。それはなぜかと言うと・・・。
First, check in at the entrance. I felt the smell of animals at the time.... A cast member decided my team assignment, I became a member of green team, then I got the straw hat with green ribbon. Bar area was crowded with guests who were drinking alcohol or choosing wine for the dinner. I wanted to drink but I didn't have it. Because....
来た来た！ミッキーがやって来ましたよー。バーエリアでフリーグリーティングでした。人気者なので、一緒に写真を撮るのはなかなか難易度高かったですが、無事にツーショット撮影に成功。この衣装はメインショーと同じものです。
Wow! Mickey Mouse came to the bar! It was free greeting. As he was very famous it was difficult to get him. Finally I could take pictures with him. His cloth was the same as what he put on during the main show.
その後は、プレショーが始まります。まずはカウボーイハットのおじさまの曲芸。そのあとは、3人組のバンドの演奏でした。この演奏の途中でグーフィーが合流。曲にあわせてかなり激しく踊ってました。そしてバンドのメンバーとグーフィーの案内で、メインショーの会場へ移動していきます。
After Mickey's greeting, it was pre-show time. Stunt by a man with cowboy hat, music by three men. Goofy also came to the stage and danced aggressively. Then a member of band and Goofy let guests go to the main show area.
会場はこんな感じ。かなりの面積の土の広場を囲むように、客席が階段状に並んでいて、入り口で配られた麦わら帽子の色ごとにエリアがわかれています。あらかじめオレンジジュースが置いてあり、あとはビールをじゃんじゃんついでくれました。周りにはミネラルウォーターやコーラをもらっている方もいました。でも私はビール。にやり。料理もどんどん持ってきてくれます。コーンブレッド、チリビーンズ、ローストポテトと肉類のグリル。デザートはあたたかいアップルクランブルに星の形のバニラアイスが乗っていました。最後にコーヒーか紅茶、小さいコインチョコをもらえます。正直お肉はいまいちだったなぁ。コーンブレッドとデザートだけはもりもり食べました。ショーには途中休憩がないので、食事をしながら、ショーを見ながら、さらに写真を撮るのはとっても忙しかったです。
These are the pictures of the main show area. Seats were around the wide earthy plaza, and divided into 4 zones linked to ribbon of straw hat. Orange juice was already on the table. And cast members gave me beer. Water and coke also available. Meal was a prix-fixe menu. Corn bread, chili beans, roasted potato, grilled meat, and apple crumble with star shaped ice cream. after dessert, coffee or tea was served with a small chocolate. To be honest, grill was not so good... I liked corn bread and dessert. No intermission during show. I was so much busy to have dinner, to watch the show and to take pictures.
ショーの本編は何かのストーリーがあるっぽかったんですが、フランス語と英語とが混ざるのであまり聞き取れず。牛や馬がたくさん出てきたり、馬に乗りながら投げ輪をしたり。ところどころでディズニーのキャラクターたち、ミッキー、ミニー、グーフィー、チップ、デールも出てきます。自分の帽子と同じ色の選手を応援する場面なんかもあります。キャラクターたちも各チームに分かれて一緒に応援してくれます。応援しながらもミッキーとミニーはいつも通りいちゃいちゃしているのもほほえましい。応援団長的な人がものすごく煽ってくるので、客席のゲストもわーわー大騒ぎでした。机をたたいたり、大きな声を出したり。こうなったら一緒に騒いじゃった方が楽しめますね。ちなみに勝ったら、そのチームの座席の近くまでキャラクターたちがやってきて、一緒にお祝いしてくれます。キャラクターと一番接近したのはこのときでした。
I think the show had some story, but it was difficult for me to hear French and English. Cows came, horses came, playing quoits, etc. Sometimes Disney characters -Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Goofy, Chip and Dale- came and support the race. I also cheered up the race with big voice. It was fun:)
結構なお値段しますし、キャラクターがメインではないので積極的におすすめするのは難しいかなと思いますが。でも私の場合は、このショーで救われました。飛行機が欠航になったり、悪天候のせいで屋外のショーがキャンセルだったり、アトラクションの運営中止が多かったりと、旅行中がっかりする場面がたくさんあったので・・・。キャーキャー一緒に盛り上がれて、がっかり気分も吹き飛びました。楽しかった！予約しておいてよかったです。
I think this is a bit expensive and is not suitable for everyone as Disney characters appeared partially. However I enjoyed it very much. My trip to Disneyland Paris was stormy and full of drama, such as cancellation of flight, heavy snow, cancellation of 25 years anniversary show.. etc. I was really disappointed but this show saved me!
