2017年末から2018年のウォルトディズニーワールドへの旅、本編でございます。日本を出たのが2017年12月28日。この日はほぼ1日かけてオーランドに移動し、そのままホテルで寝ただけだったので、12月29日の話からスタートします。機内食やらラウンジの写真はまた追々。
I would like to start my travel diary about the trip to Walt Disney World. We left Japan on December 28th, 2017. It was long travel to Orlando. Once we got the hotel, we just went to bed. Thus this travel diary starts from events December 29th. I will talk about in flight meals and lounges later.
実質の1日目は、ディズニー・アニマルキングダムでした。絶対乗りたいアトラクションは事前にファストパス・プラスを取得済みなので、オープン前にはゲートにいなきゃ、みたいな焦りもなくホテルを出発です。これ、ファストパス・プラスの利点だなと思いました。ロビーにはまだクリスマスツリー。というか空港からすべてがまだクリスマスモードだったので、年末だということを忘れちゃいます。ホテルからはバスで20分くらい。ディズニー・アニマルキングダムに到着です！入り口での、念入りな荷物チェックの後、無事入園。あの木だ～。
We visited Disney's Animal Kingdom on practical day 1. As we already had FastPass+ of "Must do" attractions, we didn't need to rush. I think this is advantage of FastPass+. There still was a Christmas tree near hotel lobby. In Japan, they remove all Christmas trees and decorations during late night of December-25. So I felt it was still early December, not end of year. By Disney Transport Bus, it took 20 min. from hotel to Disney's Animal Kingdom Park. After baggage inspection, we entered the Park. I saw symbol tree!
パークの中にはリスがいました。ホテルにもいたから、野生なのかも。最初のアトラクションは、アフリカというエリアにあるキリマンジャロ・サファリ！キャストの方が運転する車に乗って、サバンナにいる動物たちを眺めるアトラクションです。写真は上手く撮れなかったんですが、象やキリンなどなど、たくさんの動物を見ることができました。ガタガタとゆれる車が、冒険っぽくて楽しい！
I saw a squirrel. I also saw it in the hotel. It may be wild squirrel. The first attraction was Kilimanjaro Safaris in Africa Area. It is a Safari ride going through African savanna by cars. I could watch elephants, giraffes and other animals. Going on a rough road was so much fun:)
次は近くのゴリラ・フォール・エクスプロレーション・トレイルへ。熱帯雨林の中の散策ルートです。途中にあった水のみ場やショップも木に囲まれていて、いい雰囲気。
Next, Gorilla Falls Exploration Trail. It is a walking trail in tropical forest. It was nice atmosphere from Kilimanjaro Safaris to Gorilla Falls.
「ゴリラ」といいながらも、魚や鳥、ミーアキャットなんかもいます。もちろんトリはゴリラ。なんだか哀愁ただよってるなぁ。
The title includes "Gorilla" but we could see fishes, birds, and meerkats as well. Of course the last performer was gorillas.
まだランチまでは時間があったので、アフリカエリアを散策しつつ、ショップの偵察をしました。さすが、アニマル柄のグッズが多いですね。中には大阪のおばちゃん的なTシャツも・・・。
We walked around Africa Area, and made a reconnaissance of shops. There were many animal print goods because "Animal" Kingdom. This zebra print T-shirts looked like older women in Osaka.
スタバのマグもチェック。重たいので帰りに買いました。あの木、ツリー・オブ・ライフに近づいてみたくて、ディスカバリー・アイランド・トレイルにもちょこっとだけ入ってみました。
We also checked Starbucks mag. It was also animal print. We visited Discovery Island Trails to come closer to Tree of Life, the symbol tree.
と、ここでランチのお時間になりましたので、タスカー・ハウス・レストランへ移動です。レストランの様子は、次の記事でご紹介します。
Then, it was lunch time! We moved to Tusker House Restaurant. To be continued in my next blog:)
